My whole point of using SubRip is to rip out chinese subtitles. I plan to rip them out then translate it to english(I depend on the chinese subtitles in giving the video english subs)but im really having a hard time in making SubRip recognize the chinese characters & i have to type it manually(its really hard bcoz i have to search the characters,copy&paste since im a foreigner w/ a keyboard which doesnt type chinese & really gets confusedwen it comes to chinese characters). I know I could get a chinese guy to sub the chinese vid for me but I think its cool to sub it yourself^_^I hope SubRip would make ripping chinese subs easier..PLEASE!!! (I think I have the same problem with \'bursegsardaukar\' in subbing a chinese vid except shes not ellaborating her problem more^_^<2>pEacE<2>^_^)

How do you enter in CHINESE characters?

it seems i can\'t use prog. It seems that there is some outline in the subs that aren\'t just in a color. The subtitle is white and the outline is black, but there is some changind from pink, light brown, light green, and so on. I think it asks the subtitle to be white, the outline black, and in between it has to be gray....

But there are some things I don't understand:

1) I have v. 1.50 of SubRip and it doesn't appear SET OUTLINE COLOUR. I obtained v. 1.30 Beta11 and the same thing.How must one do?

2) I followed the guide step by step and when it speaks of "fuchsia" that colour appears only n the right side and not on both sides.

It seems a little buggy. Like choosing text or outline colors. It seems like you should only choose them once because if you hit them a couple of times it seems like it doesn\'t work anymore. You don\'t get a confirmation when you choose a color, but at least when you choose the text color, the pixel number changes.

I had been struggling with a DVR TVrip (DVD). I recoded it to an .avi file but it seems that using the VOB\'s from the DVD worked better. I got a text width of 10, and it is working so it can detect width values greater than 5, especially if the source is a 720 width DVD.

I just wanted to remove the permanent Sub type Name at the top of an avi I downloaded & it's fuckin confusing as all hell I have read & re-read these instructions & still it's a no go .

Very simply in the uper left hand coner of the avi there's a logo or watermark that says "DavidMovie.com" (in Hot Pink ) & I want to remove it or color it in black, but this fricken program doesn't make it easy so anyone who could point Me in the rite dirrection I would be most thankfull.
